April
As we come into April, we kick the month off with honoring the Passover celebration! We had a good meal and learned about the Passover and the Seder. We learned about the last super that Jesus had with His disciples. What a joyful time but also a time of remorse because we know what happened after that night. Always with our LORD and Savior, it always ends in triumph! On the third day Jesus was raised from the dead and continued the work that our FATHER is having Him do. It is a great time to be in relationship with our Lord and Savior. The older I get and the more I study His Word, I am just now understanding how narrow the path to the Kingdom; His Kingdom really is.
It's not enough anymore to “be saved”, and truly I do not believe that’s the end of the story!
Philippians 2:12-13 Lights in the World “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”
We all need to be the light in this dark world. How will the world know us if we continue to look and act like the world? It is my belief that Philippians is telling us that being saved is not just a one and done thing. We are looking at a lifetime of growth, study, reading His scripture, and applying everything the Holy Spirit is teaching us to our lives. Sounds pretty easy, and it should be right up until we let the adversary tell us his lies.
You see putting the full armor of God on means that we are to read and learn His scriptures. That way when the adversary comes to steal from us, we have what the scripture tells us. And not the lies of the adversary. This is what Jesus used to shut satan down, and what did satan do? He had to leave. Jesus tells us that everything He did, we can do and more. How do we do what Jesus did and more? We study The Word that He gave us, we use Jesus as our example and strive to be more like Him. We can’t do that by any other means than to get deep into the scripture. And I am not talking about listening to anyone on a computer. I am talking about “you” getting into the full Word Of God and asking the Holy Spirit to give you the interpretation. Not by what a man says but what the Holy Spirit says.
